After visiting the Philippines and India with A-Sisterhood, where we supported women’s charities and saw firsthand the impact of fundraising, I now more than ever understand why this work matters. On these trips we didn’t just travel, we actively donated, met local women’s groups, and witnessed how funds go directly towards empowering women through education, safety, and opportunity. One cause that stayed with me was Stop Acid Attacks. A campaign supporting survivors of acid violence in India. This incredible organisation helps survivors access medical care, justice, rehabilitation, safe housing, and employment opportunities through initiatives like Sheroes Hangout, a café run by survivors that gives them real work, confidence, and community while raising awareness of this devastating crime. As a Miss Great Britain Regional Finalist, fundraising for A-Sisterhood is a key part of my mission and something I am deeply passionate about. A-Sisterhood is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation, established in 2016 to empower, support, and protect women worldwide. Through their tireless work, they champion women’s rights, dignity, and safety across both the UK and international communities. A-Sisterhood has supported an incredible range of causes from tackling acid attacks and trafficking to supporting survivors, rebuilding confidence, and changing lives worldwide. I am fundraising for A-Sisterhood to give back to society and to stand alongside women who are facing some of the most difficult challenges imaginable. Having first-hand experience—both personally and through those close to me—of the impacts of domestic violence, poverty, and inequality, this cause is incredibly close to my heart. I am also an example of how it is possible to come through hard times to become successful, independent, and resilient, and I feel truly blessed to now be in a position where I can help and uplift others.
