After visiting the Philippines and India with A-Sisterhood, where we supported women’s charities and saw firsthand the impact of fundraising, I now more than ever understand why this work matters. On these trips we didn’t just travel, we actively donated, met local women’s groups, and witnessed how funds go directly towards empowering women through education, safety, and opportunity.One cause that stayed with me was Stop Acid Attacks. A campaign supporting survivors of acid violence in India. This incredible organisation helps survivors access medical care, justice, rehabilitation, safe housing, and employment opportunities through initiatives like Sheroes Hangout, a café run by survivors that gives them real work, confidence, and community while raising awareness of this devastating crime.
