Why this matters

Women should be able to walk home, travel alone and go about their everyday lives without having to constantly think about their safety.

Yet violence against women remains a global crisis.

1 in 3 women worldwide: around 840 million women and girls have experienced violence of some form during their lifetime.

And these figures don't capture every experience. Violence and harassment are frequently underreported because of stigma, fear and barriers to reporting.

Why I created herPath

I created herPath to give women a place where their experiences can be heard.

herPath is a community-powered women's safety platform where women can anonymously share experiences such as harassment, following, intimidation and unsafe environments. By bringing these experiences together, herPath aims to identify patterns, highlight community-recommended safe spaces and help women make more informed decisions about their journeys.

But a website alone cannot solve the wider issue.

That's why this project is also about supporting women beyond the screen.
Supporting Stop Acid Attacks

I am fundraising through A-Sisterhood in support of causes such as Stop Acid Attacks in India.

A-Sisterhood has supported Stop Acid Attacks since 2016. The organisation works to support survivors of acid violence, including providing a safe house near Delhi's main hospitals, funding treatment and supporting survivors through employment opportunities at Sheroes Hangout cafés. It also campaigns for stronger laws, accountability and justice.

The majority of acid attack victims in India are women, and the impact of these attacks can extend far beyond the physical injuries themselves. Supporting survivors means helping them access treatment, rebuild independence and reintegrate into society.

For me, this connects directly to the purpose of herPath:

Safety. Support. Empowerment. And giving women the ability to reclaim their futures.
